Elmhurst Park District Adult & Senior Programs
The Abbey was established for active, older, fun-loving adults in the community. In addition to providing a variety of exciting leisure activities, The Abbey, located at 407 W. St. Charles Rd., Elmhurst, provides social service programs such as income tax preparation, informal seminars, driver safety programs, and more. A wide variety of classes, parties, day trips and clubs are offered to encourage friendship & socialization.

York Township Senior Center
The Senior Center provides programs and services designed to enhance the quality of life of our senior citizens 55 years of age and over. These programs are self-supporting and require no tax dollars.
The Center offers in-house parties, outings, classes to improve driving skills, hearing tests, free movies, line dancing, yoga, card playing, and barber and beauty services. Senior Center staff also helps members with medical claims and applications for energy assistance and other federal senior programs.
York Township Senior Rides
The program is open to seniors 55 years of age and older who reside in York Township. This takes in Lombard, Villa Park, Elmhurst, Oak Brook, Oakbrook Terrace, and small sections of Glen Ellyn, Downers Grove, Hinsdale and Westmont. York Township Senior Nutrition Center
The Senior Nutrition Center’s extensive senior nutrition program is sponsored by the DuPage Senior Citizens Council, a non-profit agency. Unlike many similar programs, nutritious meals are prepared on premises at 1502 South Meyers Road in Lombard. Over 40,000 meals are served annually, on-site in the Dining Center and delivered to the homebound by volunteers. The seniors also enjoy camaraderie, providing food not only for their bodies, but also their spirits.
Dining Center parties require a lunch reservation. Be sure to make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance. Call (630) 620-2421 before noon.
