Caregiver of Home Helpers/ Direct Link of the Western Suburbs of Chicago Honored with 2010 Caregiver of the Year Award
CINCINNATI – Mira Warda, caregiver at the Home Helpers and Direct Link of the Western Suburbs of Chicago was recently honored as the recipient of the 2010 Caregiver of the Year Award for Home Helpers, the nation’s leading senior care franchise specializing in non-medical and personal care and companionship for seniors. Warda was presented with the honor at the company’s annual national conference in Phoenix, Ariz., on September 22, 2010.
The Home Helpers and Direct Link “Caregiver of the Year Award” was established to recognize and reward the hard work, dedication and service to others provided by a star caregiver within the system. The recipient must embody the core values of a Home Helpers Caregiver by touching client’s lives each and every day. The caregiver is selected through a nomination process by owners throughout the franchise system.
“It is an honor to be presented this award,” Warda said. “Receiving an award that represents such accomplishments is a huge achievement. Being a part of the Home Helpers/Direct Link family has enabled me to provide quality services to families in the community, and I feel privileged to have this opportunity to help families in need of home care services.”
Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with individual clients and their families to tailor flexible care plans to meet their specific needs and budgets. Services offered may include companionship, grocery shopping, meal preparation, transportation, assistance bathing and dressing, medication reminders and light housekeeping.
Direct Link® Help At The Touch Of A Button is a national provider of medical alert units, including a 24-hour personal emergency response system and an automated medication dispenser that enable seniors to feel safer and live independently in the comfort of their own home longer than might otherwise be possible.
“Over the past two years, Mira has consistently exceeded the expectations of her clients with the generous care she provides, particularly for an elderly client in Western Springs who recently passed away,” said Mike Doepke, owner of Home Helpers and Direct Link of Hinsdale. “Her caregiver relationship was exemplary and set a high standard to which I hold all my caregivers and employees.”
