Home Helpers isn’t just about making your life easier. It’s also about making it more comfortable. And what could be more comforting than a comfort dog?
Home Helpers has teamed up with the K9 Comfort Dog Ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Darien to offer clients free visits with Jeremiah, a dog specially trained to provide peace, comfort and companionship.
Jeremiah regularly visits people who can benefit from his company. In addition to visits with people at area homeless shelters, wakes and funerals and private homes, Jeremiah recently traveled to Las Vegas, where he provided comfort for those affected by the recent mass shooting.
“Comfort dogs help to open up conversations between people,” said Toni Bazon-Forsberg, Jeremiah’s owner and handler. “He offers companionship, and always makes people smile.”
Anyone interested in a visit from Jeremiah should call Home Helpers at (630) 323-7231 and ask for Sheri. If you are interested but the above-listed days or times don’t work for you, please give us a call and we will do our best to accommodate you.
