Home Helpers caregivers are special people. They must first possess the proven ability to care for others and the desire to make a difference. Next, they are individually trained for each assignment. Nursing students to CNA’s to active seniors to empty-nesters are becoming caregivers for Home Helpers.
Becoming a Home Helpers® Caregiver is easy. The ability to care for others and the desire to make a difference is all that is needed to become a successful Caregiver. No formal training or previous experience is necessary. Nursing students to CNA's to active Seniors are becoming Caregivers.
Home Helpers® provides quality care for Seniors, Expectant Moms & New Families, and those recuperating from illness or injury. Our Caregivers make a difference in their lives and the lives of others. Home Helpers® Caregivers work independently with our clients each day. We offer flexible schedules, including days, evenings, overnights and weekend hours. And being a Caregiver is more than a paycheck. Your role as a Caregiver will be very rewarding. We do so many things to make life easier for our clients. Companionship and social interaction are among the most important services we provide. We also perform other non-medical services such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, shopping, errands and transportation to doctors or therapy sessions. Most importantly you will help Seniors, New Moms & Families and those recuperating from illness or injury maintain their independence.
You will be custom fitted with clients that match your interests and abilities. Our state of the art scheduling software assists our offices in creating and maintaining long lasting relationships with our clients. You will feel like a surrogate family member while helping your clients live more fulfilling, healthier and happier lives.
Requirements
Experience with home health care is not required but is helpful. We offer initial as well as ongoing training in activities of daily living; personal grooming assistance, meal preparation, errand services, housekeeping help. You must drive a reliable car for your transport between clients as well as client errands. You must pass a comprehensive set of background checks. Most importantly, caring individuals are needed.
If you have the heart to assist people in their own homes with their activities of daily living, we would like to meet you. As a Home Helpers caregiver, you must be able to bend down, lift, and do other things associated with cooking, cleaning and caregiving. Part time hours, days, evenings, overnights, weekends, live-in available. Initial pay begins at $10.00/Hour for come and go shifts.
Applicants must be legal to work in the United States, have a valid driver's license, car insurance and pass a comprehensive pre-employment screening. Non-smokers are preferred.
Most assignments are within 10 miles of La Grange, Illinois so please do not apply unless you are willing to travel to this area.
Caregivers must be able to communicate effectively, show a genuine interest and display empathy in caring for the elderly, children and anyone recovering from an injury or illness who need care in their homes.
